I've changed the fuses and even the relay fuse for it yet nothing. The dipped and full beam continue to work, even the flashing of the beam works on the stick. Can anyone help or advise? Would I have to try to change both light bulbs on them? Thank in advance The dipped headlights on both sides of my A2 have stopped working. My indicators, main beam and side lights are all fine.
You can rule out the stalk by using the follow me home lights as this uses the "Main beam" flasher to operate. Park up, Engine off and then pull the light stalk towards you. The side lights and full beam headlights work find, but the dipped headlights wont work. I have checked the fuses, and found some threads on here saying that it is often the soldering on the steering wheel light stick that is the fault. I've removed the circuit board, but the solder points and tipss look fine (see photo below). 307 dipped lights not working.

Which is strange. All other lights fine. Is this a common fault Nov 27, 2016 Check the socket itself as well as the wiring. Sounds like the connection is loose.

Have just replaced the light I used another 20a fuse from the fuse box (sunroof fuse) to check if that was the problem but even though the fuse is the same it won't stay in the fuse box (it won't Help !!! All the electrical systems in your car, including the headlights, are protected with fuses. These are designed to 'blow' and break the circuit if too much power comes through them. This protects all the components on the circuit. If a headlight fuse blows, it could cause the headlights to stop working.
